The Association of Energy Economists renews its Steering Committee:

1 re-elected member and 2 new members elected out of a total of 18 members
Election of a Vice-President

The Association of Energy Economists held, Monday, November 25, 2024, its General Assembly .
The latter, represented by more than a quarter of its members, was able to deliberate validly, as provided for in the Statutes. Voting is done electronically with in-person participation at 12:30 p.m. at PSE.
Christophe Bonnery , President, read the moral report and the financial report. Discharge was given by the General Assembly by a majority of the votes cast.
Christophe Bonnery, whose mandate as a member of the Steering Committee runs until the end of 2025, was renewed as President, on the recommendation of the Steering Committee.
The vote focused on the election or renewal of 3 other members of the Committee whose mandate has expired.
The results were promulgated during the General Assembly. Considering the governance of the EEA:
Christophe Bonnery declared that he wanted to further open academic work to civil society, strengthen consultation by decision-makers and include the media and journalists in this mission.
In addition, he called on the Steering Committee to renew itself to improve plurality within it.

Out of 18 member seats on the Steering Committee, three mandates expire in 2024:

  • Two do not renew their applications when due: Jacques Percebois , professor emeritus at Montpellier, and Jean-Michel Glachant , former director of FSR, who wish to facilitate renewal within the CODIR

We warmly thank these members for their contributions to the life of the AEE during their term of office.

  • A member whose mandate expired in 2024 is a candidate for renewal of his mandate: this is Marie-Line Vaiani of the CFE

In accordance with the statutes of the AEE, the General Assembly approves:

  • the election of Boris Solier (U-Montpellier) as a member of the Steering Committee
  • the election of Bertrand Charmaison (CEA) as a member of the Steering Committee
  • the renewal of the mandate of Marie-Line Vaiani (CFE) as a member of the Steering Committee

Furthermore, on the proposal of the Steering Committee meeting on September 25, 2024, the General Assembly validated the appointment of Chloé Le Coq , professor of economics, as Vice-President of the AEE, replacing outgoing Jean-Michel Glachant.

About the AEE:
The AEE, created in 1986, represents the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) in France.
It brings together energy economists, whether they belong to energy companies, the Administration and public institutions, in the middle of education and research or consulting companies.
